How to be Calvin Chen's wife/GF

Isang araw... nagaddict kami ni Josche at gumawa kami ng rules kung paano maging asawa/gf ni Calvin. eto yung kinalabasan:

1) You must be sweet, gentle and classy

2.) You must not only be a girlfriend to him but a friend and family too. You must share the same values. To make the relationship work

3.) Be very supportive and try to buy him the latest news paper, magazine anything that involves about stock market. Make sure you wake him at 9 and prepare him coffee before he analyzes the stock market

4.) Make sure you have your makeup kit, extra sunglass and a cap with you because as an artist Calvin wants to look good. Try to put some powder, moisturizer if he needs it but before doing this try asking him if he wants to wear makeup or just wear a sunglass and cap

5.) If you are together and you are taking lots of pictures make sure you only post pictures that he looks good. Always remember that he likes to look good before posting any pictures he's somewhat vain.

6.) As we all know Calvin is very close to Wu Chun and they are even room mates. So don't be jealous of Wu Chun especially when they flirt a lot they are just simply sweet towards each other

7.) Calvin's most precious thing in his room is his collection of Gucci bag. Make sure u clean and take good care of them. If you have the money try buying him one bag to add to his collection.

8) Calvin loves to collect earrings. Make sure to buy him nice earrings and help him clean it. Try to suggest what earrings look good on him in order to boost his ego.

9) Learn to play tennis so that you and Calvin could have a one on one competition on court. Make sure to think of a consequence on who ever loses the game (ex. Spill out one darkest secret/will give you a piggy back home) this will help you have a good and memorable game with him.

10.) Since he seldom have free time, make sure if he has no work be with him stroll in the park, beach, watch DVD and hang out with his friends, shop and eat where ever he wants to eat. This will make him very happy.

11.) Calvin loves learning new things since he already know Cantonese, mandarin, Korean and English. Try to teach him Tagalog words and like wise ask him to teach you mandarin.

12.) Since he's a very affectionate person either to guys or girls don't tend to be jealous or put up a fight with him or let him have a distance with girls. Learn to accept him as he is and try to befriend everyone who adores him.

13.) Make sure if you have a problem always find his assistance. If you’re stuck in traffic and can't get a cab call him and he's willing to pick you up. He likes to take care of his girl so let him be and treat you like a baby as much as he wants to.

14.) Always support him in everything he does. Stay behind him no matter what, he will be very sad if someone is against what he wants to do.

15.) Try to arrange a dinner date, or outing with his family he seldom sees them and spends time with them so as much as possible be close to his family.

16.) Lean to fully understand what is his real emotion, sometimes he puts a mask and pretend to be happy be there for him and try to talk to him and ask if everything's okay. Let him open his deepest feelings and listen very attentively and give him a hug to comfort him.

17.) Calvin wants’ to see her girl even on a busy and tiring day. Make sure your phone is beside you to hear him call you if he's outside your place. Give him a massage to make him feel relax, make sure you ask him how his day went also don’t forget to give him a kiss on the cheeks and a warm hug to complete his day.

18.) Never read or peek any messages on his phone or any personal stuff. He hates it he thinks you’re invading his privacy and that you don't trust him at all. As you all know Calvin said that when he has someone very special he will reveal anything. Just trust his words and nothing can go wrong.

19.) Make sure you help him in doing the household chores because he doesn’t like doing household chores. Don’t use dish washers when cleaning the plates because he thinks that it doesn’t clean the stain that much and don’t ask him to wash the dishes because he hates this task the most.

20.) Learn to laugh at his jokes; even though it’s a cold or a corny joke learn to appreciate it. Since he thinks its not fun if people don’t laugh with him.

21.) Go dancing with him and try to each him new moves so that he can improve his dancing skills.

22) Since Calvin loves to sing, try to have a duet with him during a KTV session. He would love it when his girl could sing with him.

23.) Learn to appreciate Eminem songs, Black eyed peas and Mariah Carrey songs since he likes their music. If you don't like R&B and Hip hop just go with the flow and just listen to the meaning of the songs who knows you might appreciate it in the long run.

24.) Learn to appreciate war movies, action, and people sacrificing them selves. Calvin loves these types of movies so if you want to rent a DVD or go out watching with him try to research the genre of the movie before asking him.

25.) If you’re planning on taking him to any park make sure that there are no savage animals since these are his least favorite animal.

26.) Make sure that you don’t deceive or betray him; this is one thing he can’t forgive and can’t forget for the rest of his life. In short don't cheat on him.

27.) When giving a gift on your anniversary or on any occasion just make sure you write him a letter (he likes it when the word really comes from the heart). He really appreciates hand made gifts. Be create be sweet for sure he will treasure it for as long as he live.

28.) Always make sure that you have an MSN installed in your phone, laptop and of course internet. Even when he’s busy he enjoys chatting with friends, special people close to him. So even if he’s far away he knows you are there and waiting for him and missing him badly. Be ready to stay up late.

29.) Early in the morning make sure you let him lie at your lap and put eye mask on his eyes since this has been his ritual to reduce the puffiness of his eyes. Also remember to turn on the TV he likes to watch TV early in the morning. (Bit awkward but he really likes watching TV even he has eye mask)

30) Learn how to cook his favorite foods like Japanese food especially seafood’s. If you don’t know how to cook take a cooking lesson he likes girls who can cook good. You can deliver him foods on the set so that he can have an appetite for eating and never skip meals this can also avoid the attack of his gastric problems.

That’s it! She was the girl who won the backstage pass during their concert last year. “Oh… Oh… I’m sorry…” he said. Then he left out a weak laugh. Kelsi smiled at him, and held his hand. “I need to make my rounds. If you need anything, just call me…” she said.

As Kelsi left the room, Yi Quan just watched her. Her warm touch… her soft voice… they all seem familiar in his heart. His heart began to beat faster and faster… Who could she be?

“Boss?” Mei Ru called him. Yi Quan looked at Mei Ru. “Mei Ru…” Mei Ru smiled at him. “Interested with Dr. Ramirez?” he asked. Yi Quan shook his head. “No… I was about to tell you to leave me alone. I need to rest…”

Kelsi’s heart fluttered as she left Yi Quan’s room. She couldn’t believe she was the one assigned to look after him. “Dream come true…” she thought. She smiled at herself. “Charm…” She gently opened the door of his room again, and peeked at him. He was sleeping again. He’ll be here for a few more days, and Kelsi know it’s her chance to get to be close with his idol.

The next morning, Yi Quan was getting bored staying at the hospital. His bandmates visited him. Some colleagues visited him as well, but Nan and Ah Sa… they never bothered to pay him a visit.

Yi Quan sat up on his bed and tried to get up. As soon as he stood up, his feet flickered, making him fall on the floor. “Hey!” he heard a lady shout. He looked up and saw his doctor, Kelsi, reach for him. She helped him to stand up. “Mr. Zuo, what did I tell you about trying to stand up?” she said. Yi Quan smiled at her. “I’m just trying…”
“But’s you’re not strong enough yet!”
“But I want to!”
“Can you please try to stay in bed just for one more day? Please?”

Kelsi gave him puppy eyes. Yi Quan found himself laughing at her. He never laughed this way… not since the issue with his relationship with Ah Sa. “OK… OK… one more day…” he said. “But I’m getting bored… I need fresh air…” Kelsi smiled at him. “So you want to go out?” she asked. He looked up at her and smiled. “Yes… I would love to…” he said. “Wait for me here…” after saying that, Kelsi rushed out of his room.

After a few minutes, Kelsi returned to his room with a wheelchair on hand. “Now we can go out!” she said gleefully. “I’m going to ride that… that thing?” Yi Quan asked. Kelsi nodded her head. “But –“
“No but’s, superstar. You want to go out, right?”
“Yes but –“
“Well, this is the only way you can go out without standing. Come on, I’ll give you a ride!”

They went to the hospital’s garden. During the time that they were together, Yi Quan was silent. “You said you got bored at your room… don’t tell me you’re still bored here at the garden…” Kelsi said. Yi Quan looked up to her and smiled. “No… no… I’m… this is OK…” he said. Kelsi smiled back at him. “Penny for your thoughts?”
“Nothing really…”

Silence.

“The… the tabloids… do you know what they said about… about what happened to me?” Yi Quan finally said. He know he should’ve not been talking to Kelsi about it, but he have to let it out somehow. Kelsi took a deep breath before answering him. “Do you want me to lie, or do you want me to tell you the truth…”
“The truth…”
“Well… they thought you’re about to end your life because… because…”
“Because of Ah Sa?”

Kelsi nodded her head. “Yeah… because of her…” she said. “She… she ran off with businessman, Mei Tian Nan after the accident…” she explained. Then, Yi Quan laughed. It was a bitter laugh. “I should’ve known” he said. “I should’ve known she would do that...”
“But everyone sympathizes with you…”
“Is that a good thing or a bad thing?”

Kelsi didn’t answer. She knows Yi Quan was hurt because of the bomb she dropped. “You know… I shouldn’t have told you about… about her…” she said, with a hint of guilt in her tone. “Anyway, it’s just none of my business and –“
“It’s OK, Kelsi…”

Kelsi smiled secretly when he spoke her name. She was getting this close with him. “You think she’s not worthy of me, right?” he asked again. “Well, everybody thinks she isn’t worthy of you. Anyways, there’s a lot of girls out there willing to replace her in your heart. You just have to keep your doors open…” she said. Yi Quan smiled at her. “I’ll keep that in mind…”

Thoughts of Kelsi filled his thoughts that night. He have known this doctor for only a few days, but he seemed to have an effect on him. He always looks forward to seeing her when she makes her rounds. He looks forward to having a small talk with him. She even taught her a few Filipino words!

He closed his eyes to sleep, tomorrow would be his last day in the hospital… and he hopes to see more of Kelsi as soon as he’s out.

He found her in a field of roses. She was lying among the flowers, as she slumbers peacefully. He walked towards her, and sat beside her, not wanting to wake her up. He gently he kissed her on the forehead. She gently opened her eyes, to find him smiling at her. “Hey…” he said. She smiled at him. She closed her eyes again, this time, his face moved closer to her, their lips started to touch…

She opened her eyes, the sun glimmered through her window. It was just another dream… just another dream… she thought. She sat on her bed and sighed. She was just beginning to get to know this man she loves. She’s taking small steps to be with him… one step at a time… and she knows she would be able to be with him. Who knows… maybe she would have his heart as well…

“You’re getting close to him…” Mei Ru told her. “Is that a good thing, or a bad thing?”
“You know, you’re already sounding like your boss…” she said. “It is a good thing for me, I guess…”
“Then tell him…”
“Tell him what?”
“That you’re Angel… the girl he have been looking for all this time.”
“Is he still looking for me? I don’t think so, Mei Ru… besides, I could feel that he’s still love with Ah Sa… being close to him is all that matters to me now…”

“Be close to whom?” Mei Ru heard a guy said. They both looked back and smiled upon seeing a familiar figure. “Hey, Boss!” Mei Ru said. The guy smiled at him. “Not your boss, he’s still at the hospital…” he said. She looked up at him and smiled. “Finally… I was able to meet you…” he said to her. She blushed upon seeing him. The guy turned to Mei Ru and smiled again. “Aren’t you going to introduce me to your friend?” he asked. Mei Ru looked back at her. “Dr. Kelsi Ramirez, I would like to introduce you to Mr. Ding Xiao Yu…”

So how did it happen that Mei Ru found Angel. How did he found out Kelsi’s little secret? Let me tell you about it…

It was during our Manila concert that Mei Ru found her by accident. Remembered how he tried to find her? Even going to the local post office to get information about her whereabouts? Mei Ru saw her there… she was carrying a violet envelope. It was the same envelope that she always uses to send Yi Quan a letter. Yi Quan didn’t know it, but he found her. Yi Quan found Angel without even noticing it.

Then at the concert. When Kelsi and her friend went to meet us backstage, he noticed that Kelsi is holding something familiar. When we were called on the stage, Kelsi and her friend stayed behind. Mei Ru excused himself, and when he cam back, he saw Kelsi putting the violet envelope on the table.

“Angel?” Mei Ru called. Kelsi was startled when he looked back at him. “I… I…” she stuttered. “You are Angel?” Mei Ru asked again. “You know who Angel is?” she asked. Mei Ru nodded his head. “I know who she is. Do you know who she is?” Mei Ru asked. Kelsi didn’t answer. “You are Angel?” Mei Ru asked again. Kelsi looked up at him. “Please don’t tell him!”
“But why?”
“I… I…”
“He have been looking for you… he really is! You should meet him now!”

Mei Ru pulled her, but Kelsi remained standing. “No… no… please…” she pleaded. Mei Ru gave her a startled. “Please don’t let him know it was me…. I have no intention of –“
Mei Ru let her hand go. “All right… but I tell you, it’s your chance, Angel…” he said. “Why are you letting this chance pass?”

Kelsi looked up to him. “Because it’s better this way… that he never know who I am… so that I could continue loving him from afar…”

Star - Chapter 4

Chapter 4: Serendipity




“Paging Dr. Chen… Paging Dr. Chen… Please proceed to the operating room now. Paging Dr. Chen…”



Kelsi slumped at the chair of the hospital’s pantry after getting some caffeine fix. She have been in the hospital for 12 hours now… and she badly wanted to go back to her apartment. “Can someone remind me why I decided to take up Medicine? Oh yeah…” she thought. She sipped her coffee, as she looked up at the TV screen.



She saw a familiar face on TV – It was Zuo Yi Quan. It has been a year since she saw him in person at the HyperActive concert in Manila. Since she came to Taipei for the Internship program, she saw a lot of him. “I sometimes wonder what is it with Zuo Yi Quan that makes a lot of girls mesmerized by him…” Kelsi looked back and saw her colleague, Huo Jian Hua entering the pantry. “Good evening, Dr. Huo.” Kelsi said, smiling at him. “Good evening, Dr. Ramirez. I see you’re taking a break from your shift tonight huh?”

“Yeah, been here for 12 hours now…”

“Tsk tsk tsk… you should get some rest, Dr. Ramirez. We don’t want to end up in the hospital because of over fatigue, don’t we?”



Kelsi gave out a faint laugh. “I think you’re right, Dr. Huo…” she said. Dr. Huo smiled back at her. “Don’t worry, I’ll cover for you. Take a rest then tomorrow’s gonna be a big day.” He said. Kelsi walked up to him and gave him a hug. “I owe you one, Wallace…” she said, then she left the pantry, and headed home.

Yi Quan dialed her number again. Her phone rang, then afterwards, he heard her voicemail for the nth time. “Hi! Ah Sa here! I’m quite busy and I can’t answer your call. Please –“



Before he could here the beep, he ended the call. “Where the hell is she…” he thought. It’s been three days since their last fight, and he was trying his best to fix his relationship with his girlfriend of six months (fellow artisit, Ah Sa), but it seems that Ah Sa is not interested in getting back together with him.



“Mr. Zuo…” he heard his assistant call. He looked at him, his face filled with frustration. “Whatever it is, Mei Ru… just don’t bother me with it right now…” he said. Then he sighed. Mei Ru sighed as he left Yi Quan alone. He was just about to give the letters that “Angel” sent these past few months. But it seems that his boss is not interested in any of the letters she sent. He was uninterested in almost anything, except for Ah Sa. He has been that since the day they started dating.



Mei Ru peeked at his boss again. He was dialing her number again and again. “Yi Quan… you should know that it’s all over…” he said silently. He shook his head as he left Yi Quan alone.

“He is not interested…” he said to her. Her sad face looked away from him. She doesn’t want him to see the tears in her eyes… not now. She doesn’t want to feel hurt. What can she do? She is just a fan… nothing else. “There’s nothing else that I wouldn’t want in this world but for these letters to reach him…” she said in a low voice. Her voice, cracking as she finally broke down. He reached for her and hugged her tight. “I wish I could do anything for you… but I can’t…” he whispered to her.



Damn Yi Quan for breaking her heart. Damn Yi Quan for letting her hopes high, then suddenly letting her down when he met Ah Sa.



“She’s just breaking his heart and he couldn’t see it…” he told her. “It’s like she took over every part of him…” she whispered. “And it hurts me more than it hurts him…”



Silence filled the place.



“Angel… why him?” he suddenly asked. She looked up at him, not knowing what to answer him.



Why does she love him? Why him, when she deserve someone “real”? He is just a fantasy for her, and it was wrong for her to fall for this man… but her heart does not hear out her logic.



Why him? Why not Jin Xiu Yi, or Wang Ya Se, or Ding Xiao Yu? Why not her colleague? She shook her head. “I don’t know… I don’t know…”

Mei Ru stared at the violet envelopes on his table. He wanted to sad for Angel, and at the same time, be mad at Yi Quan. “You wanted to find her…” he thought. “You wanted to meet her… and now I have found her, you took her for granted…”



He stashed the enveloped on the drawer. He will not give up on his boss. If Angel doesn’t want to give up, then he won’t give up either. “Time will come you will ask me for these letters, Yi Quan… when that day comes, I hope it’s not yet too late…”

There’s nothing left for him to do but go to Ah Sa’s pad to make it up to him. Yi Quan surprised her. He bought a dozen of white roses, and the most expensive wine. They have to talk. They have to fix this thing going on between them. He loves her so much, and it scares him that she’ll leave him. He tiptoed to her room, and by the door, he heard her moaning. Is she in pain? Did something happened to Ah Sa? Then he heard a man’s voice, calling her name. All she did was moan as the man call her.



He carefully opened the door, and found the woman she love making love to another man. And it’s just not any other man. It was his best friend, Mei Tian Nan. Yi Quan dropped the flower on his hand, and the wine he was holding. This startled Ah Sa and Nan. “Yi… Yi Quan?” Ah stuttered. She was shocked to find her boyfriend in her pad. She immediately covered her naked body with a blanket. He just stood there, glaring at the two lovers. “How could you do this to me?” he asked in a low voice. “Yi Quan… Yi Quan, let me explain…” Mei Tian Nan said to him.



Ke Si walked towards him, but Yi Quan gave him a punch. “You were my best friend, Nan! How could you!” He shouted at him. Then, he stormed out of her pad, heart broken, and in pain.

How are you? It’s been a long time since I’ve written you a letter… and it’s been a long time since I saw you in person. Yi Quan, I know you are with her now. Are you happy with her? Does she make you smile? I know you love her with all your life, but I’m scaed that she will only cause you pain…

But as long as she loves you and as long as your feelings for her is strong, I will support you… I will be here for you though it’s breaking my heart…

He drank his last cup of wine. He got out of the bar after settling his bill. Then he went straight to his car and drove away. He wanted to get out of this mess, of the pain he is feeling.



Wasn’t he enough? He gave Ah Sa everything that she wanted. Everything. She was her world. His life revolved around her. How could she betray him, and worse, with his best friend? “Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh” he shouted in frustration. He started the engine of his car again. And then he drove as fast as he could. He drove… until he hit an electric post…

“Emergency!” Kelsi heard one of the nurse shouted. She saw Jian Hua running up to her. “Kelsi, we need you. Now!” he ordered. She followed him as they reached their patient. “The guy is apparently drunk…” Jian Hua explained. Kelsi shook her head. “There oughta be a law against drunk drivers…” she said. Jian Hua smiled at her. “There is. Apparently , this guy thinks he could… you know… drink and drive. Go save the guy.” He said.



Kelsi walked towards one of the bed in the emergency room. She cut the crowd of people attending to the patient. She was surprised to see who her patient is that night… it was Yi Quan.

“Are you all right?”

The voice seemed familiar. He have heard that before but he could not remember where. “Hold on…”

Hold on to what? His life is a mess… but as she spoke, he felt as if wanting to stay alive…

“You’ll be OK…”

He tried to open his eyes, but the physical pain he’s feeling won’t let him see through. He saw everything in white. “Am I in heaven?” he thought. He closed his eyes again, then he felt a warm touch… it was the touch that he seemed to be longing for. “Angel? Is that an Angel?” he thought. Then, he opened his eyes again. And then he saw her – her eyes filled with worry, her eyes wanting to shed tears… and then she turned to her. He found her angelic and beautiful face… then it hit him. The familiarity of her voice… the one he have heard whispering during their Manila concert last year. It was her… his Angel…

“How could she break his heart…” she said. She was shedding tears again for the man who never knew her, and never knew she existed. She was shedding tears again for the man, whose heart was broken. She could feel his pain. “How could she!”

“I don’t know why…” he said. “But he loved her so much… so much that he’s died for her…”

“She doesn’t deserve her…”

“And do you?”



She looked up at him. “Neither do I…” she said in a low voice. “I am just an ordinary girl who could only look up to a shining star like him…”

“But you could have your chance with him… why don’t you take the risk? He deserves to be with someone like you…”

“Don’t say that… we could never be together…”



He hugged her again. “You should be happy... the two of you should be happy…” he said. Then she turned to him. “Mei Ru… promise me… promise me we’ll always take care of Yi Quan… promise me…” she said. Mei Ru smiled at her, assuring her that everything will be OK. “I promise Angel… I promise…”

“Does it hurt?” the little girl asked. “Yes it does…” she answered. “Loving him just breaks me…”

“But you do love him…”

“Yes, I do…”

The little girl sighed. Maybe what she asked was too much… but she just want her big sister to be happy, and to do the things she could never do in the future. “You can go back home you know… you don’t have to keep your promise…”

“But I have to do this, for myself…”

“He will only hurt you… he hurts you…”

“He had no idea that he’s hurting me… I am the one hurting myself… I could’ve just simply walked away and leave everything behind, but I can’t! I can’t because I love him…”

“Then don’t give up… don’t give up on him… I know one day you will have his heart… I know… I know…”
