  7. friends sila since kids pa sila
  8. kadalasang namamatay yung bida or ynug partner nya na hindi nasasabi yung nararamdaman nya
isip pa ako...

I WILL WAIT FOREVER – CHAPTER 17 – New Girl

“Nice meeting you, Ryan.” Meg said as she took Ryan’s hand. “I swear you’re going to be mine… nothing can stop me…” Meg thought. She didn’t want to let go of Ryan’s hand. “Welcome to St. Joseph University, Meg. Ryan said as she shook her hand. He could sense that Meg wanted to flirt with him, but he just ignored it since he’s with Macy. Justin could also see how Meg looked at him – like she’s going to devour him. He decided to break them up. “So Meg…” Justin said. “What course are you taking up?”

Meg let go of Ryan’s hand and looked at Justin. “Mass Com. Second year.” She said monotonously. “How about you?”
“Psychology. Anyway, welcome to St. Joseph University…”

Meg talked with Macy first to catch things up with her. As they talked, Ryan kept on staring at Meg. “I bet my angel’s prettier than her… if only she’ll change how she looks.” He thought. After a while, Meg said goodbye to their group, and left. As she walked away from them, Ryan kept on staring at her. “Still star struck with my cousin?” Macy asked. Ryan looked at her and smiled. “Yes…”You know what guys,” they heard Rica say. “we better go to the Main building to get our class schedules.”
“Yeah, I second the motion.” Justin said.

==================================================================================

They went to the university’s main building to get their class schedule. Macy and Ryan went to the far end of the building to get their class schedule. Justin accompanied Rica to get her own class schedule. “Thanks for coming with me here, though we both know that you’re supposed to get your schedule there.” She said, pointing at the other side of the building. “It’s OK. But you have to promise me you’ll go with me there to get my class schedule.” He said, smiling at Rica.

The reason why Justin went with Rica, is because he wanted to talk to her about Macy’s cousin. “There’s something about that girl that I didn’t like… I don’t know what…” he thought. He watched Rica as she scanned through the papers posted on the bulletin board. Rica felt a little awkward, knowing that Justin’s staring at her. “Hey, I can’t concentrate if someone’s staring at me…” she said.
“Oooops.. sorry…”
“Is there something wrong, Justin?”

He took a deep sigh before telling Rica what’s on his mind. “It’s Macy’s cousin…”
“I knew it? She’s your crush right?”
“Of course not!” he exclaimed. “I mean… she’s pretty and all, but there’s something about her that I don’t like?”

Rica gave him a startled look. “Justin, please don’t tell me you’re gay…”
“No, I’m not!”
“Then why are you starting to dislike Meg? You don’t even know her at all…”
“Maybe I’m just being paranoid, but there’s something about the way she looks at Ryan that’s bothering me…”

Rica stopped what she was doing, and started to listen to Justin. “There’s something about the way she looks at Ryan that I really didn’t like. And when she took Ryan’s hand, it’s as if she didn’t want to let go…”
“Maybe she thought she knew Ryan… or maybe she’s thinking Ryan could also be a model… you know… she’s a model and she could see if a guy has an X-Factor…”

Justin shook his head. Maybe Rica’s thoughts are right. He’s just being paranoid about it. “I guess I just have to see what will happen this school year…” he said. Rica smiled and pat his shoulder. “Good boy. Now, better get your class schedule so that we could join the two. I’m already starving.”

================================================================================

“Orders up!” Ryan said as she put the tray on their table. After getting their class schedules, the four decided to eat at the nearest restaurant. “Yay! I could all of these! I’m hungry!” Rica said. The three just laughed as they watched Rica eat.

After eating, Ryan decided to buy food again for his dinner. Rica, on the other and, went to the rest. They left Justin and Macy alone together. “Wow, I can’t believe we’re already in our junior year…” Macy said. “Yeah, one more year and we’ll graduate…”
“Not for us… we still have two years to go…”

Justin smiled at Macy and held her hand. “Mace, thank you for understanding Ryan… I hope you’ll never get tired…” he said. “I hope you’ll continue to love and trust him…”
“I assure you, I will…” she said, smiling back at him. Just then, Ryan came back. “Did I missed anything?” he asked. Justin let go of Macy’s hand and smiled at Ryan. “Nope.” He answered. “I’m just telling your angel how lucky you are to have her.”

===============================================================================

It was the first day of school. Ryan picked Macy up from their house, and they went to school together. He even walked her to her first class. “Thanks for picking me up, Ryan…” she said as they walked at the lobby. “Of course, anything for you, my angel…” he said. Macy stared at him as they walked. “Maybe the waiting is over… maybe he’s ready to commit himself to me…” she thought. Ryan noticed that Macy was staring at him. “Penny for your thoughts?” she heard Ryan say. Macy simply smiled at him. “Nothing… I’m just happy that you’re here with me…”

Before they knew it, they were already in front of her classroom. “I guess this is my stop.” Macy said. “OK. I’ll see you later after school.” Ryan said. Macy smiled at him, then she entered the room.

Ryan was about to go to his class. He was reading his class cards when he accidentally bumped into Meg. “Hey watch it!” Meg shouted at him. Her things fell on the floor, and Ryan helped her pick it up. Just then, Meg realized that it was Ryan. “Hi! I’m sorry, I didn’t know that it was you…” she said. “It’s OK… I’m sorry, I’m not watching where I’m going.” He said. After picking up her things, he handed it to her. “Here you go…”
“Thanks Ryan!’
“Anyway, I have to go. I’m going to be late for my class.”

After he gave her her things, Ryan dashed to his classroom. Meg watched him as he ran to his room. “This is just the start, Ryan. I’ll make you fall for me soon…”

The Dolls of Love

I have a boyfriend who grew up with me. His name is Jin. I always thought of him as a friend until last year, when we went to a trip from a club. I found that I fell in love with him.

Before that trip was over, I took a step and confessed my love for him. And soon, we became a pair of lovers, but we loved each other in different ways. I always concentrated on him only, but by his side, there were so many other girls. To me, he was the only one, but to him, maybe I was just another girl…

“Jin, do you want to go watch a movie?” I asked.
“I can’t”
“Why? You need to study at home?” I felt disappointment
grabbing me.

“No… I am going to meet a friend…”

He was always like that. He met girls in front of me, like it was nothing. To him, I was just a girlfriend. The word ‘love’ only came out from my mouth. Since I knew him, I had never heard him say ‘I love you’ before. To us, there weren’t any anniversaries at all.
He didn’t say anything from the first day and it continued till 100 days…200days… Everyday, before we say goodbye, he would just hand me a doll, everyday, without fail. I don’t know why…

Then one day…
Me: Um, Jin, I …
Jin: What…don’t drag, just say..
Me: I love you.
Jin: ……you….um, just take this doll and go home.
That was how he ignored my ‘three words’ and handed me the doll. Then he disappeared, like he was running away. The dolls I received from him everyday, filled my room, one by one. There were many…
Then one day came, my 15th year old birthday. When I got up in the morning, I pictured a party with him, and stranded myself in my room, waiting for his call. But… lunch passed, dinner passed… and soon the sky was dark… he still didn’t call. It was already tiring to look at the phone anymore. Then around 2am in the morning, he suddenly called me and woke me from my sleep. He told me to come out of the house. Still, I felt joy and I ran out happily.

Me: Jin…
Jin: Here…take this…
Again, he handed me a little doll.
Me: What’s this?
Jin: I didn’t give it to you yesterday, so I am giving it to you now. I’m going home now, bye.
Me: Wait, wait! Do you know what today is?
Jin: Today? Huh?
I felt so sad, I thought he would remember my birthday. He turned around and walked away like nothing had happen.Then I shouted… “Wait…”
Jin: You have something to say?
Me: Tell me, tell me you love me…
Jin: What?!
Me: Tell me

I put my pathetic self behind and clung on to him. But he just said simple cold words and left.
“I don’t want to say…that I love someone so easily, if you are desperate to hear it, then find someone else.”
That was what he said. Then he ran off. My legs felt numb… and I collapsed to the ground. He didn’t want to say it easily… How could he…. I felt that… Maybe he is not the right guy for me…

After that day, I stranded myself at home crying, just crying. He didn’t call me, although I was waiting. He just continued handing me a little doll every morning outside my house. That’s how those dolls piled up in my room… everyday
After a month, I got myself together and went to school. But what made the pain resurface was that… I saw him on a street… with another girl… He had a smile on his face, one that he never showed me…as he touched the doll… I ran straight back home and looked at the dolls in my room, and tears fell… Why did he gave these to me… Those dolls are probably picked out by some other girls…In a fit of anger, I threw the dolls around. Then suddenly, the phone rang. It was him.
He told me to come out to the bus stop outside my house. I tried to calm myself down and walked to the bus stop. I kept reminding myself that I am going to forget him, that… it’s going to end. Then he came into my sight, holding a big doll.

Jin: Jo, I thought you were pissed, you really came?
I couldn’t help hating him, acting like nothing had happen and joking around. Soon, he held out the doll as usual…
Me: I don’t need it.

Jin: What….why…
I grabbed the doll from his hands and threw it on the road.
Me: I don’t need this doll, I don’t need it anymore!! I don’t want to see a person like you again!

I spitted out all the words that were inside me. But unlike other days, his eyes very shaking.
“I’m sorry”
He apologized in a tiny voice.
He then walked over to the road to pick up the doll…
Me: You stupid! Why are you picking up the doll?! Just throw it away!!!

But he ignored me and just went to pick the doll. Then…

Honk~ Honk~
With a loud honk, a big truck was heading towards him.
“Jin! Move! Move away!” I shouted…
But he didn’t hear me, he squatted down and picked up the doll.
“Jin, move!”
HONK~!!
“Boom!” That sound, so terrifying.
That’s how he went away from me.
That’s how he went away without even opening his eyes to say one word to me.
After that day, I had to go through everyday with guiltiness and the sadness of losing him… And after spending two months like a crazy person… I took out the dolls.

Those were the only gifts he left me since the day we started going out. I remembered the days I spent with him and started to count the days… when we were in love…

“One…two… three…”
That was how… I started to count the dolls…
“Four hundred and eighty four… four hundred and eighty
five…”
It all ended with 485 dolls.
I then started to cry again, with a doll in my arms. I hugged it tightly, then suddenly…

“I love you~, I love you~”
I dropped the dolls,shocked.

“I….lo..ve…you??”
I picked up the dolls and pressed its stomach.

“I love you~ I love you~”
It can’t be! I pressed all the dolls’ stomach as it piled on the side.
“I love you~”

“I love you~”
“I love you~”
Those words came out non-stop. I…love you… Why didn’t I realize that….That his heart was always by my side, protecting me. Why didn’t I realize that he love me this much… I took out the doll under the bed and pressed it’s stomach,
that was the last doll, the one that fell on the road. It had his blood stain on it. The voice came out, the on that I was missing so much…

“Jo…Do you know what today is? We’ve been loving each other for 486 days. Do you know what 486 is? I couldn’t say I love you…. Um… since I was too shy… If you forgive me and take this doll, I will say that I love you… everyday… till I die… Jo… I love you…”

The tears came flowing out of me. Why? Why? I asked god, why do I only know about all this now? He can’t be by my side, but he loved me until his last minute…

For that… and for that reason… to me… it became courage… to live a beautiful life….

I WILL WAIT FOREVER - CHAPTER 16 - Numb

Macy saw Rica staring at a post on the bulletin board. It was a good thing that she saw Rica immediately, since they were supposed to go to the mall together. "What's that?" she asked Rica, who's still staring at the posting. "Wait... I'm still reading it..." she answered. Macy looked at the post, and read it:

Be a scholar in one of
France's finest University!

To qualify:
  • You must have have an average grade of 1.75 or higher in your respective course
  • Must have a good moral character, and no records with the Office of Disciplinary Action
  • You must be willing to be trained in one of our training sites
If you're interested, please contact Mr. Vicar at the Office of Academic Affairs

"A scholarship in France?" Macy said as soon as she finished reading the post. Rica looked at her and smiled. "Yeah..."
"Are you going to try it out?"
"Of course not, my grades wouldn't pass the qualifications..."

They walked towards their lockers to put their things. "But I know someone who can win that scholarship..." Rica said. Macy knew that she was talking about her. "Oh no, Rica... I'm not yet ready..."
"Come on, Mace. Why don't you try it out?"

The truth is, Mr. Vicar already approached her about the scholarship. "You don't have to take the preliminary exams since your records already shows that you're almost overqualified for it... All you have to do is go to Baguio for the training, then, after that you'll fly to France..." he said. She turned down his offer, because she knows that she's not yet ready for it, and she'll be missing her family and friends, especially Ryan, when she go to France.

"I... I'm not yet ready... Maybe I'll try it out next year..." she said to Rica. Rica knows she wouldn't be able to convince Macy, so she decided to end the topic about it. "Fine... just promise me you'll try it out next year..."

===================================================================

After going to the mall with Rica, Macy decided to pay Ryan a visit at his pad. "Ryan..." she called his name as she knocked on the door. There was no reply from him. "That's weird..." she said to herself. "I thought he didn't have classes today..."

Then, she remembered the key that Ryan gave him the last time. She took it out from her bag, and looked at it. "Its about time that I use you..."

She out the key inside the keyhole, and then unlocked the door. "Ryan?" she called again, before she entered his pad. The moment she opened the door, she saw Ryan making out with another girl. She felt numb when she saw that seen, she didn't realized that she dropped the key.

Ryan and the girl got distracted with what they were doing. They looked at the door, and they saw Macy standing by the door. "Who is she, Ryan?" the girl asked. Ryan stood up and walked towards Macy. "Mace..." he said in a low voice. Macy tried her best to fake a smile, although she's already dying inside. "Sorry to came without a notice." she said, smiling at him. The girl stood up, and went to Ryan. "Hi! Are you Ryan's cousin?" she said smiling at her. "By the way, I'm Cheeney, Ryan's girlfriend..." Cheeney said, extending her hands to Macy.

Girlfriend... That word seemed to echo on Macy's mind. She wanted to tell her who she is in Ryan's life, but she realized that everything about them is a secret. "Secret... until when am I going to be a secret?" she thought. She immediately composed herself and smiled back at Cheeney. "Hi!" she said. "I'm Ryan's cousin, Macy." she said.

===================================================================

After a while, Cheeney decided to leave. Macy, on the other hand, was busy watching a cartoon on TV. She tried to laugh at the funny scenes in order to conceal her pain. After Cheeney left, Ryan sat beside Macy. He watched her as she laughed while watching the cartoons. "Macy..." he said. "Hey, look at that, isn't that funny?" she said between laughs.

"Macy... why are you pretending that it didn't matter to you? Why don't you tell me if you're hurt?" he thought. He stared at her, and he run his hands through her hair. Macy looked at him with a confused expression on her face. "Ryan?"
"I'm sorry..." he said in a low voice. Macy looked up at him. "Ryan... why do you have to say sorry each time I catch you with another girl, and then do those things again?"
"I... I don't know how to explain it to you... I feel guilty whenever you see me with another girl..."

Macy, held his hand and smile. "I know that you're doing these things to cover things up... I understand, Ryan... but sometimes it hurts a lot. I'm just trying to be strong for us..." she said. Ryan put his arms around her, and hugged her. "I love you Macy.." he said. Macy gave him a playful smile. "Are you sure?"
"Of course I am!"

He kissed her on the cheeks, and then he started to tickle her.

===================================================================

8 months has passed. Another school years has ended, and it's already summer. For the past 8 months, Macy was able to survive. From time to time, she would see Ryan with other girls. She would try her best to be OK, that things are as normal as they are, but after he leaves, she would go to the chapel or to the rooftop to cry. He would see her at the bus stop, talk to her, and comfort her, but she would pretend that she's OK. She didn't want to let him know that she's hurting inside.

Ryan was guilty as well. He was not able to spend much time with Macy just like before. He knows that Macy's hurt, but whenever he asked her about it, she would pretend that everything's fine with her. Even though he knows that he's hurting Macy, he would just do his old ways.

Summer came. And just like last summer, they would spend as much time as they could together. They even celebrated the day when they confessed their love for each other. They went to Justin's vacation house on that day, together with Justin and Rica. They had a camping that night to celebrate it.

===================================================================

Ryan watched Macy as she stared at the bonfire. "I've been loving her for a year, and yet I'm still not ready to be with her..." he thought. Ryan walked up to her and put his arms around her. "Are you doing OK?" he asked. Macy smiled at him and nodded. "We have been together for a year... I hope you're not getting tired of me, and my ways..."

Macy shook her head. "No, Ryan. I will never get tired of understanding you..." she said. "I'm sorry if I've been giving you nothing but heartaches for the past year... I'm sorry if I have been indifferent with you... I'm sorry I wasn't able to spend much time with you..."

She put his finger on his lips and smiled. "You're forgiven." she said. "I understand why you did the things that you did before. I told you before that I'm willing to wait for you, until you're ready... even if it takes forever..."

Ryan held her hand, and gave her a long kiss on the lips.

===================================================================

Days passed, and the summer ended again. Another school year will began, and they will be on their junior year and college. The four were together, as they enrolled for that semester. "Are you sure it's OK with you to be seen with us?" Justin told Ryan as they walked at the lobby. "But of course... they can't tell me who I can hang out with." Ryan replied.

Just as they were about to go the the Registrar's office, Macy saw a familiar face. She looked closely, at the girl, and she suddenly remembered who it was - it's her cousin, Meg.

Meg is little taller than Macy. She wore a tank top and a capri pants. She is a part-time model, and was once a cover girl for one of the best-selling magazine. "Meg?" she shouted. Meg looked at her and smiled. "Cuz!" she shouted. They ran to each other and hugged. "Cuz! I really missed you a lot!" Meg said. "Me too! I didn't know you're studying here!"
"Yeah, I'm a junior..."
"That's great! I'm transferring here because my old school wouldn't allow me to continue with my stints... so here I am..."

The three just watched as the two girls talked. "Isn't that Meg, the model slash cover girl?" Justin asked as they watched them. "Really? They knew each other?" Rica said.

After a short talk, Macy and Meg joined the group to introduce her cousin. "Guys," she said, "I want you to meet my cousin, Meg. Meg, these are my friends, Justin, Rica and Ryan."

Meg extended her hand and shook their hands. She last took Ryan's hand. "Cutie guy..." she thought. "Don't worry, you're going to be mine, Ryan..."

Story (na naman na hindi matatapos) - I will wait forever - Chapter 15

I WILL WAIT FOREVER - CHAPTER 15 - Blind

"How long will you allow him to hurt you? You didn't do anything wrong to him to make him treat you this way..." Rica asked when they went to the chapel that afternoon. "I don't know... I've been asking myself the same questions for the past weeks..." Macy answered. "He used to be so sweet... but since the school year started, everything have changed. I'm starting to think that his feelings have changed.."

Rica comforted her friend after they saw Ryan flirting with one of his so-called girlfriends. "How could he do that in front of Macy..." she thought. "How can she tell my friend that he loves her, and yet fool around with other girls behind Macy's back?"

===================================================================

Macy was about to go to the library when she passed by a classroom. From there, she saw a girl making out with another guy. "I wonder who this pair is..." she thought. She remembered that she also left her pen at that room, since his first class used this room that morning. She carefully opened the door at the back, and slowly crept inside the room. "Just let me find my pen and you can go on with your deed..." she thought.

The pair didn't noticed that Macy was able to get inside the room. Fortunately for Macy, she was also able to find her pen. "Gotcha!" she thought. She was about to exit the room, when she bumped one of the chairs, making a loud noise. This has distracted the lovebirds. "Hey!" the girl shouted at her. Macy turned around to say sorry for distracting them, but she was surprised when she saw Ryan with the girl. She was lost with words the moment she saw him. "What? Why are you here?" the girl demanded, giving her dagger looks. "I... I'm sorry... I just needed to find my pen here..." she said.

The moment she saw Ryan with this girl, she felt her heart being stabbed and torn into a million pieces. She wanted to cry again, but she tried her best not to let them see the tears that's about to come out of her eyes. "I'm really sorry..." she said again. The girl was about to walk towards her and hurt her, but Ryan stopped her. "Jane, don't mind her... we have to leave or we'll be late for our next class." He said. Jane simply walked towards her and crossed her arms. "You're lucky, my boyfriend stopped me. Next time, don't just barge in a room... Nerd!" she snapped. Macy just kept her head low as she listened to Jane.

As they left the room, Macy watched them. Ryan, looked back at her, with blank look on his face. "Ryan... why are you doing this to me?" she said to herself.

==================================================================

Macy walked as fast as she could. She doesn't know where she's heading to, but she knows that she have to get away from this place. She walked as fast as she could until she could no longer see her way. Just then, she bumped into someone. Her things fell, including her eyeglasses. Although she's half-blind without her glasses, and because of the tears on her eyes, she bent down to get her things.

She tried to reach for her glasses, but before she knew it, somebody was handing it to her. "Here you go..." a guy's voice said. She took her glasses, and immediately wore it. Then, the guy handed her his handkerchief. "Here... wipe your tears..." he said. Macy just looked at the handkerchief as the tears started to flow. "Are you OK?" the guy asked again. She didn't replied.
The guy extended his hands to her. "Come with me... Let's go somewhere quiet so that you could cry..." he said. Macy just looked at him, with a confused expression on her face. "Trust me."

===================================================================

He lead Macy to the building at the back to the university's chapel. They went up to the building until they reached the rooftop. "Isn't this a nice place?" the guy said. "You can shout all your worries in the world whenever you're here..."

Macy went to the left side of the rooftop, and looked down. "Hey..." the guy said. "don't think of committing suicide..." he joked. Macy looked up to him and smile. The guy smiled back at her. "See? You looked cuter when you smile, princess..." he said. The guy went near her. He watched her, as she began to wipe her tears using his handkerchief. "Sometimes it's OK to cry... you don't have to hold it... you can cry until you're tired... then just before you knew it, you're OK..." he said.

Macy began to breakdown. She didn't said anything, and the guy simply watched her and listened to her as she cried. The guy didn't asked or said anything, but instead, he just pat her back as she cried.

After a few minutes, she stopped crying. "Are you OK now?" he asked. Macy looked up at him and smiled. "Yes... thank you so much.." she said. The guy smiled, and started to walk towards the exit. As she watched the guy leave, she suddenly remembered his handkerchief. "Hey, wait!" she shouted at him. The guy looked back. "Macy walked towards him, and then handed him his handkerchief. "You forgot this... if you want, I'll wash this first then..."
"Don't worry about that. Just return it to me when you're done crying."
"But..."

Before she could even protest, the guy left her. She looked back at the handkerchief, and then smiled. At the lower right corner of the handkerchief, he saw the guy's initials - D.F.

==================================================================

It was almost night time when Macy decided to go home. She was waiting for the bus at the bus stop when Ryan's car stopped in front of her. He opened the car's window and smiled at her. "Come on, I'll take you home..." he said. Macy faked a smile as she turned him down. "Macy, please..."
"I'm really OK... The bus will be here anytime soon..."
"Macy, please... we need to talk..."

Macy was hesitant, but she decided to get inside Ryan's car. She knows that he will only say sorry, and that he will explain everything that she saw that afternoon. Ryan was quiet as he drove. Macy simply watched him. She could feel that Ryan wanted to tell her something, but he doesn't know where to start. "So..." she said, breaking their silence. "that girl is one of your girlfriends, huh?" she said, as she faked another smile. Ryan looked at her apologetically. "I'm really sorry, Macy..." he said.
"Hey, it's OK! You don't have to worry about me. I'm OK..."
"Macy... please don't act as if you're not hurt..."

Macy became silent. "I... I'm really OK... trust me..." she said. Ryan held her hand and kissed it. "Macy... she's nothing compared to you. She could never be like you... and I never loved her..." he said. "I know where I stand..." Macy said. "I know this is a secret, and I know we're not committed. I understand, really... you don't have to explain everything..."
"I'm sorry if I'm not spending much time with you... promise, I'll make it up to you..."

Before they knew it, they were already in front of Macy's house. They said their goodbyes, and Ryan kissed her on the cheek before she got out of his car. As she was opening their gate, Ryan called her again. Macy looked back at him, and smiled. Ryan went out of his car, and walked towards her. "I forgot to give you this..." he said. He handed to her a key. "A key? For what?"
"That's the key to my pad..."

Macy gave him a confused look. "But why?"
"Well, since we don't see each other that much at school, maybe we could hang out at my place..." he said. "Macy smiled at him. "Thanks..." she said in a low voice. Before Ryan left, he planted a kiss on her forehead.

Story (na naman na hindi matatapos) - I will wait forever - Chapter 14

I WILL WAIT FOREVER - CHAPTER 14 - Used

It has been weeks since their classes started. Since the first day of school, Macy haven't heard anything from Ryan. He would call her once, but after that, he didn't called again. She has been hearing rumors about him and a girl from another school, but she wouldn't believe it until she heard it straight from Ryan.

There would be times when she wanted to cry, but she's still trying to be strong and put a happy face in front of their friends. Justin knows better - he knows that Macy's already dying inside. He tried to talk to her about their set-up and her feelings, but Macy would just joke around and smile. He tried to talk to Ryan, but whenever he confronts him, Ryan would deny the rumors about him and another girl, and would assure him that he loves Macy. Bu then, he would go back to his old ways and date other girls.

One time, Macy finally saw Ryan with his teammates at the cafeteria. She decided to talk to him, but he's with his friends. "But I have to..." she said to herself. She took a deep breath as she walked towards their group. As she approached them, the group looked at her, as if they want to shoo her away. "Ryan..." she said in a low voice. "Can I talk to you?"

Ryan looked at his teammates before he could answer. "Uhmmm... can I just talk to you later... we're having a meeting here..." he said. She simply smiled at him, then started to walk away. As she was about to exit the cafeteria, she heard his groups started to laugh and talk about her. "Who the hell does she think she is?" she heard one of the say. "Yeah..." she said to herself. "Who the hell do I think am I to talk to the superstar?"

===================================================================

"She's... she's just my tutor..." Ryan said in a low voice as soon as Macy walked away from them. He watched as Macy slowly walked out of the cafeteria. He wanted to run to her and tell her that he's sorry for not talking to her for the past weeks. "But you used to hang out with her last year?" Jim, one of their teammates said. "Oh that? Uhmm... well... she's my math tutor so I have to hang out with her... you know... so that I can pass calculus!" Ryan boasted. He could hear that most of his teammates were applauding and praising him. "And... well... she helped me with one of my papers so I have to be really nice to her..." he continued.

"Well then..." their team captain, Jules, said. "Since you're friends with this nerdy girl, can you ask her to do my research paper? It's really a simple one..."
"I'll try to tell her about it..."
"Don't try it, Ryan..." Jules said as he put his arms around Ryan's neck. "Do it."

===================================================================

After trying to approach Ryan, Macy went to the chapel. The chapel has been her sanctuary every time she wanted to cry. She would go there to pray, and ask God for strength. "God, I just wanted to talk to Ryan... but why can't he find time to talk to me?" she prayed silently.

Just as the tears started to roll from her eyes, someone handed her a white handkerchief. She looked up, and she saw Rica smiling at her. She smiled back at Rica.

"Are you OK?" she asked as she sat beside her. "Yes... don't worry about me..." she answered.

Silence.

"Macy..." Rica finally said. "I can't exactly tell that I know how you feel... but I just want you to know that I'll always be here for you..."
"Thanks, Rica..."
"You can always tell me your problems, especially if it's about Ryan..."

Again, there was silence. Rica just watched Macy as she wiped her tears. "Mace... sometimes it's OK to cry, especially if you can't take it anymore... there's no laws about crying..." she said in a low voice. "I can't Rica..." Macy answered. "I want to be strong for him... for us... I can take this... trust me."

Rica put his arms around her friend, and hugged her. She wanted to comfort her friend, for she knows she's going through a lot of pain.

===================================================================

She was about to go to her next class when she saw Ryan waiting for her at her classroom. "Ryan?" she said. She was excited to see him. She never thought that Ryan would wait for her at her classroom. "Hi..." he said, smiling at her.
"Hey..."
"How are you?"
"I'm doing OK..."

Ryan didn't know how to tell her about his favor. He knows that it's not right for him to ask Macy to do somebody else's report. "I... I don't know how to tell you this... but I really need a big favor..." he started. "If I could help you... I would..." Macy said. He started to tell Macy about their team captain, Jules, and then he asked her if she could do his research paper. "Why would I do that?" she said sarcastically. "Please, I'm begging you... Mace. I'm doing this to save my butt... Jules has been picking on me since I joined the team..." he explained. "Please, Macy... please do this for me..."

As much as she wanted to say no to Ryan, she decided to help him do Jules' research paper. "OK, give me the details of this research paper..."

==================================================================

"Didn't you get any sleep?" Rica asked Macy the moment she saw her at the Math Org, sleeping. Macy woke up, and looked up at Rica. "Hey.." she said in a sleepy voice. "I know you, girl. You always try to finish all your assignments, but it's very unlikely of you to stay up all night to finish it..." Rica said as she sat beside Macy. "I had to finish a research paper..."
"For what?"
"For... uhh... Anatomy..."

Rica raised her right eyebrow when she heard her answer. "Since when did Engineering had an Anatomy subject? From what I know, you didn't enroll in that subject!" she said. "I know... I'm doing Ryan's paper actually..."
"Since when did Ryan had a research paper for Anatomy? He doesn’t have that subject, does he?"
"Yeah... but... this is..."
Just then, Ryan came. "Hey girls!" he said, smiling at both of them. "Hey yourself! Why did you have to ask Macy to do your research paper?!" Rica said. "Rica, don't be mad at me... I'm just asking her a favor to help me with my research paper..."

Macy took a blue folder from her bag, and handed it to Ryan. "Here's Jules' research paper..." she said. Rica looked at her with furious expression on her face. "Jules? You did somebody else's paper?"
"It's OK, Rica. I'm not doing anything, and I volunteered for it..." Macy lied. Ryan scanned her work, then smiled back at Macy. "Thank you so much, angel!"

Just then, a girl went up to Ryan and kissed him. "Come on, sweetie... we'll be late for the movies..." the girl said. Ryan said goodbye to them, and left with the girl. Rica and Macy just watched them, as they walked away. "I can't believe he's doing this to you..." Rica said, shaking her head. "It's OK, Rica... remember that everything's a secret..."
"But until when are you going to let him date other girls?"

Macy just let out a huge sigh and said "Until he's ready to commit himeslf to me, and tell the world that he loves me..."

wouldn't it suck big time

thinking about something else
and then i'll know the worst is over...
my heart might be bruised,
but it will recover and become capable of seeing the beauty of life once more.

Story (na naman na hindi matatapos) - I will wait forever - Chapter 13

I WILL WAIT FOREVER – CHAPTER 13 – Reality

Summer ended when the rain started to fall that May. By the first week of June, another school year has begun. Rica, Justin, Ryan and Macy are now on their sophomore year in college. Being back in the university means going back to their responsibilities. For Macy, it’s going back to reality. They decided to kept their relationship a secret, so it means that she would act as Ryan’s friend whenever they’re at the school.

It was the first day of school. While waiting for her next class, she decided to watch Ryan’s soccer practice. The moment Ryan saw her, he waved at her. She simply smiled at her, and then she sat on the bench. Just then, Rica and Justin came. “Hey girl!” Rica greeted. “Hi Rica! So how’s your class?” she said. Rica sat beside her while Justin remained standing. “It was OK… I’m starting with my major subject for Fine Arts… how about you?”
“Still doing great in Engineering, I guess…” she replied. “Aren’t you girls going to ask about me?” Justin said when he noticed that none of them are asking him how his class was. Rica rolled her eyes at him, “We already know how your class went. There’s no need for us to ask about it.” She said sarcastically. “Fine.” He said. “Can you just move a little to the left so that I could sit?”

They watched as Ryan practiced. They cheered for him each time he hits the goal. After the practice, Ryan said goodbye to his teammates. The three were about to meet him, when a girl approached Ryan, hugged him and gave him a kiss. They talked for a while, then he looked back at his friends and waved goodbye.

Macy felt her world began to fall. She got jealous of what she saw, and there were questions on her mind. “Who is that girl? Why did she do that to Ryan?” she thought. She wanted to get mad at Ryan, but there’s nothing that she can do. Everything about them is a secret. The only people that know about them are Justin and Rica.

Rica knew that what they saw might affect Macy. “Are you OK?” she asked. “I wonder who the hell that bitch it1” she continued. Macy wanted to cry, but she tried to keep the tear from falling. “It’s OK, Macy…” Justin said as he went near her and consoled her. “I’ll talk to Ryan later…”

===================================================================

Justin waited Ryan until his last class finished. As soon as Ryan went out of the classroom, he immediately approached him. “Hey, dude!” Ryan said the moment he saw Justin. “What’s up? What time if your next class?”
“My classes are finished. I really wanted to talk to you that’s why I stayed this late here at school…”

They went to Ryan’s locker. “So what is it that you want to talk about?” he asked Justin as he put his things inside the locker. “We were watching your soccer practice a while ago…” Justin began. “Yeah, I saw you guys a while ago…”
“And I assume that you saw your girlfriend, Macy, with us. Is that correct?” Justin put the emphasis on the world girlfriend. He said it in a very sarcastic way that could annoy Ryan. “Of course, I saw my angel…” Ryan answered, still not noticing the sarcasm in Justin’s tone. “And I also assume that you know that we saw you when a certain girl came up to you and kissed you. And may I remind you that it happened right before our very eyes… right in front of your angel…” Justin continued.

Ryan stopped from what he was doing, and looked at Justin. He remembered that girl, came up to him and kissed her. “I… I knew that she saw…” he said. He suddenly felt guilty of what he did during the practice. The truth is, the girl is one of those she was dating during his freshmen – in short, she was already his girlfriend. She was the girl whom she was being set-up with by his teammates. “Ooohhh… so the big man on campus knew that his nerdy girlfriend was watching him when the bitchy girl went up to him and kissed him! Good job, my friend!” Justin said sarcastically. Ryan remained silent. Justin began to be serious as he talked to Ryan. “When I confronted you last summer, you told me that you won’t date other girls while you’re with Macy. Aside from keeping your relationship with Macy a secret, what else are you planning to do to hurt her?”
“I am not hurting her!” Ryan said defensively. “Yes you are, Ryan! For Christ’s sake, aren’t you going to change for the girl you love? Aren’t you going to be man enough and stand up for her?”
“I love her!”
“No you’re not!”

Justin stopped arguing with Ryan for a while. He let out a deep breath and composed himself. “Ryan, I know you love her, and I know you’re not ready to give up your ‘reputation’. I just want you to know that I’m your friend, and I’m your devil’s advocate. Whatever happens, I’ll be here for you and Macy…”

After saying that, Justin left. Ryan knew that what he have done is really wrong. He have to find Macy and apologize to her.

===================================================================

Ryan tried to find Macy around the campus. He finally saw Macy at the bus stop. The moment he saw her, he stopped and car and got out. “Macy…” he said. Macy tried to walk away from him, but Ryan followed her. “Macy, please… let me explain…” he said. “There’s no need to explain…” she said as she walked away from him. He reached for her arms to stop her. Macy looked back at him. “Ryan…” she said in a low voice. “They might see us…”
“I don’t care. I want to talk to you…”

They got inside the car. They were silent as Ryan drove her home. “I understand….” She finally said. “You really have don’t explain anything. I know that you have to do it to please your teammates…” she continued. Ryan looked at her. He observed her eyes, and he could see that it was swollen. “She cried because of me…” he thought.

“Justin explained everything to me. I’m really OK. You have nothing to worry about…” Macy continued. “Macy…”
“Our relationship is a secret. I guess you have to do your old ways so that they won’t suspect… I respect your decision…”

Ryan was silent as he listened to her. “Macy… I didn’t mean to hurt you…”
“It’s really OK, Ryan.”

Before she got out of the car, she smiled at him. “I’ll see you tomorrow!” she said happily. Before she opened the gate to their house, Ryan got out of the car and walked towards her. “Macy,” he called. Macy looked back at him. He went near her, and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “I love you…” he whispered to her ears.

Macy watched him as he drove away. She knew that she have to adjust herself, for this relationship to work. She also knows that she have to stay strong for him. “But until when am I going to be on the sidelines?” she asked herself.

I WILL WAIT FOREVER – CHAPTER 12 – A Summer Memory

Three more days remaining from their vacation. Ryan wanted to make most out it. He also want to make it memorable for him, and Macy. Whenever he goes, he makes sure that Macy’s with her. Whenever they stroll at the beach, Ryan would get a stick and write their names on the sand. They watch as the sea wash up their writings on the sand.

“What if you realized that you didn’t really love me at all?” Macy once asked as she watched Ryan wrote her name on the sand. Ryan looked up at her and smile. “That wouldn’t happen…” he assured her. “What if you did? What if after this summer, everything just changes?”

Ryan stopped scribbling, “Maybe a few things will change…” he said. “but one thing’s for sure – I will always love you…”

Macy didn’t answer and gave him a faint smile. Ryan noticed her silence. “Is there something wrong? Did I say something that you didn’t liked?” he asked. “No, I’m just happy that you’re here with me…”

Ryan walked towards her, He looked into her eyes, as he cupped his cheek onto his palm. “I know this set-up’s difficult for you…but, I hope you understand that I’m not yet ready to commit myself to you…”

Macy smiled at him. “I told you, I’m willing to wait until you’re ready…” she said. “There’s one more thing…”she heard him said. “I hope it’s OK with you…”
“I know what you’re going to say…” she said, interrupting Ryan. “You want to keep this thing a secret?”
Ryan bit his lips as he slowly nodded his head. “I understand… It’s OK with me…” she said. “Are you sure?”
“Yes.”

Ryan hugged her tight. “Thank you, my angel.”

==================================================================================

They went back to Manila after a week’s stay at Justin’s vacation house. Whenever they had a chance, they would spend a day together. They would either hang out the mall, or at the park. Whenever Macy’s mom gave them permission, they would drive outside the city, and stroll at the beach.

During her birthday, Ryan surprised her. He arranged a candlelit dinner at the park near her house. Before they went to the park, he put a blindfold on her eyes. He held her hands as he lead her to the park. “Tell me what’s this all about, please?” she pleaded. She was excited about his surprise for her. “If I tell you now, then it wouldn’t be a surprise!”

As they reached their spot, he carefully took off her blindfold. “Don’t peek! At the count of three, open your eyes. One… Two… Three…” She gently opened her eyes. She was surprised when she saw a table, filled with all of her favorite foods. At the center of the table are three lighted candles, with a bunch of rosebuds around it. She was speechless when she saw his surprise. “Wow…” she finally said. She turned to Ryan, who was smiling at her. “Is this really for me?” she asked. Ryan simply nodded. “This surprise is for my angel…” he said.

He helped her to her seat, then he took the seat in front of her. They shared a sumptuous dinner, as the talked about things, and joked around. After dinner, he asked Macy to dance with him. “But there’s no music?” she protested. “Just pretend there is music…” he said. He held her hand, she put his other hand on his shoulder, and he put his arms around her waist. They started to dance. “Isn’t this fun?” he said, still smiling at her. “She smiled and nodded. As they danced, they sang some of their favorites songs, although they would make fun of the songs that they sing.

After a while, they went back to their table. “I have another surprise for you.” He said as he helped her to her seat. He took out a long, blue velvety box, and opened it. Inside the box is a silver angel pendant. “Oh my God! This is too much, Ryan.” She said as he took out the necklace. He wore the necklace around her neck. “This will be you guardian angel…” he said.

Tears of joy began to fall from her eyes. She was so thankful for all the things that Ryan gave her. She felt so lucky to have him. “Even though our relationship’s a secret, I’m so thankful to have him in life…” she thought. Ryan hugged her, and he kissed her on the forehead. “I love you, Macy…” he whispered to her. “I love you too...”

Her only wish for her birthdays is be always this happy, and to be always with Ryan. She wished that nothing’s going to change between them. But, as the saying goes, not all good things last…

I WILL WAIT FOREVER CHAPTER 11 – The confrontation

Justin talked to Ryan after they went to the basement. He didn’t know what Ryan’s intentions are, but there’s one thing that he’s sure of - Macy is special for him, more special than any other girl that he dated.

“I don’t need to explain why I did what I did a while ago…” Ryan said as soon as they were in their room. “No, I’m not going to confront you about that. I just want to know what you really want…”

Ryan looked at him. “Justin… I love her…” he said in a low voice. Justin was finally relieved when Ryan told him the truth, but at the same time, he was scared that his friend might hurt Macy. “Are you sure with that?”
“I am… nobody made me feel this way… nobody cared about me like she does… I love her, and I know that she loves me as well…”
“And are you ready to commit yourself to her?”

Commitment. This is the word that Ryan was trying to avoid all of his life. He never got serious with all of his so-called girlfriends because he’s afraid to be tied down to just one person. He wanted to explore things. Telling Macy that he loves her means that he must commit himself to her. But deep down, he knows that he’s still not ready.

“I… I’m not sure… I’m not sure if I am ready for a commitment…” he answered. Justin shook his head in dismay. He was disappointed, because he thought Ryan would change for Macy. “So you’re saying that you will continue with your old ways while going steady with Macy? That’s absurd!”
“We haven’t really talked about it… we were supposed to until you and Rica opened the door…”

Ryan looked outside the window, and he saw Macy by the beach, watching the sea and the stars. “I love her… but I don’t know if I’m ready… and I’m scared to hurt her…” he said. “And besides,” he continued. “I feel that if we got together, people in school wouldn’t understand why a popular guy like e would fall in love with an ordinary girl like her…”
“Or are you afraid that people would laugh at you when they found out that your girlfriend is the class nerd?” Justin said. “Why Ryan? Is your reputation as the Big Man on Campus still matters to you?” he continued.

Ryan lowered his head as he listened to Justin. “Man… you must be insane! Don’t tell me you’ll be giving up the girl you love just for reputation…”
“We can keep everything a secret until…”
“Until you can be proud of her? Until all the people would stop laughing at her? You’re really insane…” Justin said, shaking his head. “I can’t believe you’re my best friend…”
“No, Justin. Until I’m ready to tell the world that I love her…”
“And you’ll still go out with other girls?”
“No!”

Justin let out a big sigh. He know that no matter what he says to his friend, he wouldn’t follow him. “Let me remind you, that you once lost your best friend because of that stupid popularity thing… I don’t want you to lose the girl you love just because of it…”

After that, he left Ryan alone in the room.

Ryan decided to join Macy at the beach. He have to talk about them. “I have to tell her…” he thought. He wen behind him and put his arms around her. “Hey…”

Something to be worried about...

Qos April EOM - 50%
QOS May Week 3 - 57.14

Should I start to worry?

Good Old Times...

For so many years, meron akong memory box na tinatago-tago.
